LeRose Named 2026 School Counseling Internship Supervisor of the Year

On Thursday, April 30, Roton Middle School counselor Madeline LeRose was honored by the Connecticut School Counselor Association as the recipient of the 2026 School Counseling Internship Supervisor of the Year Award.

The award, presented during the association’s annual Professional Recognition Gala at the Avon Old Farms Hotel, recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication in mentoring the next generation of school counselors. LeRose was selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees across the state.

As an internship supervisor, LeRose has demonstrated exceptional commitment to developing aspiring school counselors. Through her mentorship, she provides guidance that extends beyond technical training, instilling the values of compassion, professionalism, and student-centered advocacy. Her work ensures that future counselors are well-prepared to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
